Below you will find a list of our most frequently asked questions. We hope that the answers provided will be useful to you. However, if you have other questions not listed below please contact us and we'll be happy to help.

1. What is Cash4phones?

Cash4phones is an independent UK based mobile phone recycling company. By following our easy steps we will pay you for recycling your old mobile phone with us. For further information on the company see our about us page.

2. How can I find out what type of phone I have?

The model of your mobile phone is found on a label under your battery, for most mobile phones. By looking at this you should be able to tell the make and model of your mobile phone. If you are still unsure then you can browse all models by make to find yours.

3. What do I need to include when sending my mobile phone?

All you need to do is put your mobile phone, battery and Order Slip reference barcode in the freepost envelope we send to you, then put it back in the post to us.

We have valued your phone based on your handset, but if you want us to safely dispose of your phone charger, memory card, or anything else included with the phone, then we will be happy to do so. This will not, however, effect the valuation of the phone.

We advise that you save all your contact details across to the sim card before sending us your mobile phone and that the memory should be wiped.

4. Can I receive cash for a phone that is damaged or faulty?

We can offer cash for your phone, whether it is in perfect condition, damaged or faulty. The amount we can offer you depends on the level of damage, so we are not able to value your phone online.

Send us your phone in the freepost envelope, and one of our technicians will assess the damage to your phone. We will send you an email with a revised mobile phone value, and if you accept our offer, then simply click the link in your email and we will transfer the money to you. We even give you a few days to think about the offer, however, we only have limited storage facilities and need to know what you want us to do with your phone. So 5 days after we send you the offer email, if we haven’t heard back from you, we will assume that you are happy with the offer and issue payment to you for the phone(s).

5. Can I include more than one phone in the freepost envelope?

Yes, Cash4phones will send you a freepost envelope for every sell order you register on our site. If you need an extra envelope, please phone customer services to request it.
It is really important that your phones are packaged safely to prevent them being damaged in transit, as you don't want this to result in a reduced offer for your mobile phone.

We suggest that you may want to send your mobile phone via the Royal Mail Special Delivery Service, at your own cost, to guarantee that you phone will reach us in the best possible condition.

6. Should I send my phones via Special Delivery?

If the total value of your phones is high and you want to ensure a successful delivery then we recommend that you send your phones via special delivery to the following address: Cash4phones, Unit 15, Gateway Mews, Bounds Green, London, N11 2UT - as we do not take responsibility for any loss or damage caused in transit.
